Alexander pitched for Philadelphia (NL) 1911-1917, 1930; Chicago (NL) 1918-1926; St. Louis (NL) 1926-1929. He pitched in 696 games, made 600 starts and pitched 90 shutouts. Five of Alexander's shutouts were with more than one catcher.
