Catching Hall Of Fame Pitchers

Carl Hubbell's Battery Mates

King Carl Hubbell pitched in 535 games and made 433 regular season starts with 260 complete games for the New York Giants between 1928 and 1943. Hubbell's only appearance with fellow Hall of Famer Ray Schalk was on June 3, 1929, and while Gabby Hartnett, his catcher in the famous 1934 All Star Game, started 33 games for the 1941 Giants, none were with Hubbell. Below are the starting battery mates and number of games in those 433 starts and in Hubbell's 36 shutouts.
